Range simulator for electric cars
Every kilometre,
worked out before you set off.
Real range of your electric vehicle, on every route
Simulate your route before you set off: know your vehicle’s real range, where you need to recharge, how long it will take and how much battery you arrive with. Taking into account the weather along your route and the chargers in service you will find on the way.
Real range
An electric vehicle’s range changes with every trip
The same car can cover noticeably more or noticeably fewer kilometres depending on how and where you drive it. The simulator accounts for that for you, leg by leg.
Wind
A headwind raises consumption and a tailwind lowers it. We use the weather forecast on every leg of your route.
Temperature
Cold and intense heat make the battery perform worse and the climate control use more energy.
Speed and gradient
Driving at 120 km/h does not use the same as 90, and climbs cost energy. It is calculated on the real profile of your route.
Real public chargers
Stops are chosen among the public chargers on your route, with their power, and those not in service are left out.
How it works
Your trip, simulated in three steps
Pick your car
Make, model and trim from over 100 electric models by 33 brands.
Draw your route
Origin, destination and intermediate stops, plus the departure date if you want the weather forecast taken into account.
See what awaits you
Charging stops, total trip time and the battery you arrive with, in two flavours: fewer stops or less time.
Tools
Simulate before you decide
For those who already drive an electric vehicle, those about to buy one and those who want one in their fleet.
Route simulator for electric cars
Pick the model, draw your route and check the real range, the charging stops and the total trip time.
Calculator: electric or combustion
Compare what an electric car will cost you against a combustion one, with the price of charging at home and at public chargers.
Electric truck simulator
For haulage: electric tractor units with their semi-trailer, the load on each leg and the driver’s mandatory rest breaks.
Electric car models
Your car, or the one you are thinking of buying
Over 100 models from 33 brands and more than 130 trims. Simulate your trip with yours, or try several on the same route and see which leaves you with fewer stops, less charging time and more battery to spare.
For businesses and fleets
Electrifying a fleet? We help you get it right
Before buying twenty vehicles you should know whether they will cope with your company’s routes. We analyse your real routes and compare models to tell you which ones fit, how many stops they will need and what they will cost against combustion.

Frequently asked questions
What almost everyone asks about an electric vehicle’s range
Is it useful if I already own an electric car?
Yes. Pick your model and enter your usual route or a long trip: you will see where to stop, how long it takes and how much battery you arrive with. And if you are thinking of changing, you can try another model on the same route.
What range does an electric car really have?
The official figure (WLTP) is measured under laboratory conditions. On the road it can be lower or higher depending on speed, temperature, wind, gradient, load and how you drive. That is why this simulator works out your specific route instead of giving you a single number.
What makes an electric car’s range drop?
Mainly high motorway speed, cold, headwinds, climbs and carrying a heavy load. The simulator takes these into account leg by leg.
How long does charging an electric car take on a long trip?
It depends on the charger’s power and on what your car accepts: it charges at the lower of the two. The simulator works out each charge on that basis and shows you the total trip time.
Where can I charge my electric car on the road?
The simulator suggests stops at real public chargers near your route, prefers the most powerful ones with a CCS2 connector and leaves out those not in service (planned, under construction or removed).
How do I know how many charging stops I will need?
Enter your route and your model: the simulator gives you the number of stops, where to make them and for how long, with two options: fewer stops or less total time.
Which electric car models can I simulate?
Over 100 models from 33 brands, with their different battery and power trims. The electric truck simulator is under construction.
How much does it cost to use the simulator?
It is free and you do not need to sign up. If you like, you can save your preferences, your usual car and your routes in your browser, with no account or password.
Roadmap
More reliable all the time
What the simulator already calculates is only the start. Next comes travelling with you on the road and learning from every trip.
In your car
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto: your route and its charging stops on the car’s screen, recalculated if real consumption drifts from the plan.
Learns from every trip
Thanks to artificial intelligence and real-route data, the simulator feeds back on itself and becomes more reliable over time.
More countries, more languages
Routes across Europe and the site also in German and French.
On your phone
An iOS and Android app with your saved routes and charging stops always at hand.
Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, App Store and Google Play are trademarks of their respective owners.
