Using evrouteplan does not require registering or giving us any data. What you enter in the simulators and the calculator is calculated in your browser and never reaches a server of ours.

2. What data we handle and why

If you write to us

The contact form does not send anything from the website: it opens your email program with the message ready. If you write to us, we handle your name, email and what you tell us to answer you. Legal basis: your consent when writing and our legitimate interest in answering queries (article 6.1.a and 6.1.f GDPR). We keep the email as long as needed to deal with it and, afterwards, only for the legal periods in which liabilities could be claimed.

Simulators and calculator

The routes, vehicle and options you choose are processed in your browser. We neither receive nor store them.

«Save my preferences»

If you turn it on, your usual vehicle, options and routes are stored in your own browser’s storage. They never reach us. Delete them whenever you like from the same window or by clearing the site’s data in your browser.

Your location

When you open the simulators, your browser asks whether you give this website location permission. If you accept, it is used in your own browser to frame the map on your country, show your position on it and, if you choose, fill a route point with «My location». To find your country and the address for «My location», the coordinates are sent to Google (Geocoding API). We do not store them; at most your country is remembered for 30 days to frame the map. You can refuse or withdraw the permission at any time in your browser settings, and the simulators work just the same.

3. Third-party services that receive data

To work, the website requests information from these services. When it does, your browser sends them your IP address and the query data:

  • Google Maps Platform (Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC): map, address search, route calculation, elevation and charger availability, in the simulators, because without it they cannot calculate routes. It receives your IP, what you search for and the route points, and may use its own cookies. Google LLC takes part in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Google privacy policy.
  • Google Fonts (Google): serves the website’s typefaces; receives your IP and technical browser data when the page loads.
  • Open Charge Map: charger data; receives your IP and the area of the map or route being queried. openchargemap.org.
  • Open-Meteo: weather forecast; receives your IP and the coordinates of route points. Open-Meteo terms.

4. Who we share data with

We do not share data with anyone, except where required by law.

5. Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability of your data, and withdraw your consent at any time, by writing to info@evrouteplan.com. If you think we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).

6. Children

The website is not aimed at children under 14.

7. Changes

If anything explained here changes, we will update this page and its date.
